19-Year-Old UNILORIN Student allegedly Commits Suicide After Losing 300M To Forex

 A 300- level student of UNILORIN has taken his life.

It was gathered that the student who is in 300-level from the department of agriculture at the University of Ilorin with the name Favour Gbenga Olaoye-Akanbi committed suicide after He was said to have been duped by a forex trader with the name ESEKA CHUKWUTEM GOSPEL(ESG)

 As gathered by Saharareporters, Favour was found dead on Sunday after taking a chemical suspected to be poisonous.

The 19-year-old undergraduate has allegedly invested over three hundred million Nigeria naira which wasn't his but for friends and colleagues in business into a business RUN by ESG

The deceased friend who is also an investor with the firm tells how they got duped.

According to him,

"The Investment Is Forex. The Guy's Name Is Gospel Eseka Chukwutem. It Was This Year We Begin The Investment Together. He Seems To Have Stop Trading And Turned Indirectly To A Ponzi scheme Without The People Investing Knowing.

"He Is Having A Particular Group. A large number Of People In The Group Take Money To Invest In His Business From Other People.

"The Deceased Collected Money From Several People Which He Invested With ESG At A Particular Percentage.

The Investment Later Crashed, And The Police Arrested the guy. The Guy Was Later Release Having The Help Of Some Senior Police officers. So as time goes on those with ESG as Investors( who have taken a loan to invest) are now under pressure to repay the loan they took, I am one of the investors too and we are under serious pressure to pay the loan. I think this guy who is just 19, because of his age he couldn't withstand the pressure and decided to commit suicide".

A course mate of the Late Gbenga said they were assured that Forex isn't a Ponzi scheme and that there are backup funds enough to pay every investor with profit should anything happen.
