Dwayne Carter Jr popularly known as Lil Wayne is a happy man after the outgoing President Donald Trump abandoned the singer who was serving 10 years in jail for illegal possession of fire arms and drugs.
The rapper Lil Wayne together with Kodak Black were among the beneficiaries of Donald Trump's wave of pardons in his last day in office on Wednesday, befitting a president who made his name in New York's tabloids and on reality TV.
This comes as a great reprieve for the rapper who has been battling drug addiction and during his sentence fans across the globe asked the court to have mercy on him but was finally jailed. This reprieve comes as a reward from Trump to Lil Wayne who was seen campaigning for the outgoing President during his re-election bid which he lost to Joe Biden.
With Biden set to take over the White House today, the incumbent Donald Trump will be missing the inauguration becoming the fourth head of state in the US to miss such an event.
