The Nigerian minister of education in conjunction has heed to the popular demands of Nigerian students, VCs and parents.
Just this evening, the minister of education Mallam Adamu Adamu through his press and public relation aid (Bem Goong) affirms that the initial purposed date for school resumption holds after extensive consultations with stakeholders, various schools staff, state governors and students head.
Recall that the minister made a statement few days ago where he gave a hint that the proposed date will be subjected to review. This statement raised different kinds of reactions among students and Staff and school heads.
Many students quickly assumed that the proposed date might not hold any longer and made their intention to protest known through various social media platforms.
According to our source Vanguardngr.com, 18th January for resumption holds but adequate adherence to Covid19 pandemic guidelines must be ensured by school various managements.
These guidelines includes:
1. Compulsory wearing off face mask by both staff and students.
2. Regular temperature check.
3. Frequently washing of hands with water and hand sanitizer.
4. A well functioning medical unit for isolation.
5. Avoid gathering (crowd)
