The clash between the Nigerian Soldiers and the Eastern Security Network formed by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is said to have started on Friday, as the soldiers invaded the bushes and forests of Ogboro community in Orlu Local Government Area in search of the vigilantes that were trying to prevent Fulani herdsmen from entering the community.

Since then, houses and properties have reportedly been burnt and lives have also been lost from such casualty.

The Commissioner of Police at the local government was contacted on Friday as regards to the situation, but he said that he does not have any information concerning the Killings and burning of properties but he is aware of the presence of the Nigerian Soldiers.

The governor of the State, Hope Uzodimma has not said anything as regards the clash between the soldiers and the vigilantes and residents of the LGA are reportedly in their homes for the safety of their lives.

The issue of Fulani herdsmen killing and abducting innocent citizens of the country has been ongoing for several decades, and no solution has been provided by both the Federal and State Governments up until this moment. The citizens have therefore, decided to guard themselves against such killings and abductions by preventing these herdsmen from entering their communities. Is it a crime to do so?.
